It was a beautiful summer day in June and it started out
with Fonzi taking a 2nd Junior Maturity Dog win and then going
 Reserve Maturity Male under specialty judge Joan Fox.
Expertly handled by Kent Boyles.

But the team wasn't done yet!

Fonzi's Show Accomplishments To Date:

9-12 Months Old:

                       FONZI ATTAINS BOTH HIS               
AMERICAN AND CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Fonzi had a very exciting puppy career in the conformation ring during 2001 and I am so  very proud of every one of his accomplishments!  But little did I know he was just getting started and there were to be more surprises in store for us in 2002!

Last year was a very memorable year for us both as Fonzi finished the requirements for his American Championship with back-to-back 5 point majors (owner-handled for 11 points, 1 major) and all at the tender age of 27 months!   Then one month after finishing his American Championship, he gave me a wonderful birthday surprise by finishing his Canadian Championship as well.  And we were able to do it as a team ... completely owner-handled!  The good Lord was indeed looking down on both of us last year and it will be a year that will forever stand out in my memory.

But now 2003 is upon us and it is time to move on  and explore the challenges of other venues.   We've certainly started out on the right track this year with Fonzi passing the GSDCA Temperament Test with flying colors!  We both continue to work hard at the Spokane Dog Training Club where he is currently taking classes to polish his performance in the Novice exercises in order to trial for his C.D. (Companion Dog) title.  And we're both anxiously awaiting the start of the herding season.  Talk about a full schedule!  But he's a highly intelligent and willing partner who loves the challenges and mental stimulation that the work offers.  He's definitely not just another pretty face!  The big bonus is that we make a great team and enjoy our time working and playing together.  :-)

Thank you Bonnie Calloway, Jomar Shepherds, for selling me this beautiful boy and entrusting him to my care.  I can't thank you enough!  He's been a one-in-a-million dog and I wouldn't trade him for all the gold in the world.  He's my heart and soul plus my very best friend .....I couldn't imagine life without him.

1993 - 2002

Sadly for all of us, Fonzi's sire passed away last year and Fonzi
 is one of his few remaining sons to carry on the family line.
 My sincere condolences to Bonnie on the loss of her beloved Rocky.
But I know in my heart that Rocky's legacy will live on
 and all of his outstanding qualities - temperament, structure and attitude - will
continue to  be passed down through his wonderful sons, daughters
 and grandchildren.

Sleep well Rocky, you will be missed by all of us!
